Jackson Memorial Library serves the St. George community by providing information, materials, services, and programs to families and individuals of all ages for their education, enrichment, and personal enjoyment. The Library provides a welcoming and comfortable public space for social interaction, civic engagement, and quiet study. We are located at 71 Main Street in Tenants Harbor.
We are searching for a candidate to assist with clerical duties. The position provides 10 to 12 hours per week with a flexible schedule, requires 2 Saturday mornings a month, and one weekday evening. Pay based on experience, beginning at $14 an hour. Training provided for the right individual.
Scan and upload receipts and documents into Google Sheets.
Maintain Event Calendar, including scheduling and coordinating Zoom meetings.
Organize and maintain filing of paperwork and storage of digital files.
Order office and janitorial supplies
Monitor and update our social media and website with event information, images.
Create posters and press releases for upcoming events.
Gather monthly statistics, perform monthly inspections.
Keep bulletin boards up to date.
Alternate covering Saturday hours with other staff members.
Familiarity with Google Suite, including Sheets and Docs, Canva, and Zoom, Square and Squarespace a plus.
Comfortable with computers, both Mac and PC.
Ability to work with others in a friendly, respectful work environment.
Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
Flexibility, and willingness to learn.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High school diploma/GED
